"I like representing bands I love and also contributing to help the bands by buying merch. I've met a load of people through having battle jackets. They can be an instant talking point/icebreaker. Good or bad." - Jim

"I have 3 battle jackets with about 10/15 patches on each and a shit load more that I've never got round to sewing on. Or didn't think they'd fit with the other patches on the jacket" Jim

"I started my first battle jacket about 6/7 years ago. I'd sewn a few patches on a denim when I was 15 but I wouldn't consider it a battle jacket. I guess it started with band Tshirts. Like the ones you could get in HMV, Ramones and Led Zeppelin and stuff. I liked representing something I was into. I wanted people to think "that dude likes Zeppelin. Cool." Jim

Big X's jacket "I went to see Rainbow last year in Birmingham & I met a couple of older rockers who were taken by my jacket & started talking about some of the bands such as Scorpions, Priest & Ozzy & how they went to see them back in the day. A lot of older rockers really dig the jacket if I come across them in pubs or gigs. It always a good conversation stimulator." Big X

The First patch i got was the Skam one when I was about 13. It was on a different jacket back then. It's really rare. you wont find it anywhere else I think." Brian
